Announcing Ashbaugh Beal!

We have adopted a new name to recognize our growth over the past decade from construction law into a much broader range of legal services.

The new name on our masthead is longtime partner Rick Beal, widely acknowledged as one of the pre-eminent insurance coverage lawyers on the West Coast. He joins our firm’s senior founding partner, David Ashbaugh, a commercial litigator with more than 40 years experience.

“Rick Beal personifies our firm’s success in delivering results for clients while increasing our services to them,” said Ashbaugh. “As a recognized leader in his chosen area of law, Rick typifies the commitment to specialization that our clients and we expect of all our lawyers. His name on the masthead demonstrates our long-term commitment to anticipating and meeting our clients’ needs.”

In practice since 1979, Rick has specialized in recovering seven- to nine-figure settlements from insurance companies that wrongfully deny claims to policyholders. In particular, his cases have included some of the most notorious construction defect and damage disputes in the Western United States.

Ashbaugh Beal’s leadership is rounded out with longtime partners who are recognized leaders in their industries. John Riper, Bob Marconi and Rich Skalbania are seasoned construction litigators each with over 20 years of experience in construction law and continue to represent both local and national contractors. Joe Campos, a 15-year lawyer and former entrepreneur, chairs our firm’s Corporate/Securities practice. He continues to counsel the firm’s clients on matters involving securities law, venture capital, fund formation and mergers and acquisitions.
