Robert S. Marconi
PARTNER AND CHAIR, CONSTRUCTION LAW GROUP
I believe Law as Results means RELATIONSHIPS - by understanding my clients' businesses, goals and objectives, and becoming their trusted advisor.
Along with developing relationships with my clients, I have built long-lasting, productive relationships among industry leaders.
Since joining Ashbaugh Beal in 1989, my practice has been devoted to construction law, with a focus on public and private contracts, bid disputes and claim and dispute resolution. I've been the Chair of the firm's Construction Law Group since 1999.
I've helped clients resolve construction disputes throughout the Western United States and have successfully handled multi-million dollar claims against a variety of public and private owners. My practice emphasizes mediation and alternative dispute resolution. I regularly conduct seminars and presentations on a variety of construction-related topics.
In city, state and federal projects, I've successfully handled hundreds of bid disputes that have resulted in millions of dollars in work awarded to my clients. Recently, I successfully defended a client's $130,000,000 bid and another client's $200,000,000 bid against two bid protests on two major public projects.
In 2005, I was the lead trial attorney in a construction case that resulted in over a $3 million jury verdict in favor of my client.
I'm extremely active in construction industry trade associations, including UCAW and the AGC. I frequently testify on behalf of the construction industry in Olympia.
